Privacy Policy
Mochibit is operated by ELAQ Limited ("we", "us").

The short version
Mochibit has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your pet, coins and progress live on your iPhone. If you use Friends, a small profile (a friend code, the display name you choose, and your pet's look and mood) is stored in Apple's iCloud so your friends can see it. Health data, if you turn it on, never leaves your iPhone. We never sell data, and we never share it for advertising.
What stays on your device
- Your game. Your pet, coins, items, quests, farm, adventures and settings are saved on your iPhone, shared only with Mochibit's own widgets, Live Activity and Apple Watch app.
- Health (optional, off by default). If you turn on life-link in Settings, Mochibit reads today's step count and last night's sleep from Apple Health so your pet can react to your day. Mochibit never writes to Health, never stores Health data in iCloud, never shares it with friends, never sends it to us or anyone else, and never uses it for advertising. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Health → Mochibit.
- Reminders. Pet-care reminders are scheduled on your device. You choose whether to allow them.
What is stored in iCloud (only if you use Friends)
Friends uses Apple's CloudKit, in a database Apple runs for Mochibit. When you set up Friends we store:
- a friend code generated by the app, and the display name you choose;
- a snapshot of your active pet: species, name, form, stage, mood, the hat or accessory it wears, and when you were last active;
- pet visits and gifts you send to friends, and friends you have added or blocked;
- reports you make about another player's display name or pet name.
Other Mochibit players who have your friend code can see your display name and pet snapshot. We do not ask for or store your email address, phone number, contacts or location. Apple handles your iCloud account; we never see your Apple ID.
Purchases
Mochibit+ and coin packs are sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app checks your purchase status with Apple to unlock features.
What we do not do
No advertising. No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. No selling or renting of data. No data brokers. No profiling.
How long we keep data
Data on your device stays until you delete the app. Friends data stays in iCloud until you delete your friends profile. Reports are kept for up to 12 months so we can act on repeated abuse.
Deleting your data
- In the app: Settings → Friends → Delete my friends profile. This removes your friend code, display name, pet snapshot, visits and gifts from iCloud.
- Everything else: deleting the app removes your game data from your iPhone.
- By email: write to privacy@mochibit.app from any address with your friend code and we will delete your Friends data within 30 days.
Children
Mochibit is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond a display name chosen in the app, which is filtered for offensive words. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's Friends data at privacy@mochibit.app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, UAE or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because almost everything stays on your device, most of these you can do in the app. For anything else, contact privacy@mochibit.app; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Legal basis
We process Friends data to provide the feature you asked for (performance of a contract) and to keep players safe (legitimate interests). Health data is read only with your explicit permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it in the app and on mochibit.app, with the date above. Significant changes will be shown in the app.
